[Aquamacs-devel] Versions a bit unclear

On the nightly builds, the versions are a bit unclear.  Am I reading things
right:

git tag: Aquamacs24 - This is the 2.0 branch -- the "up to the second"
stuff, right?

git tag: Aquamacs22 - This is the up to date "stable" branch, right?

Given those, what is the default git tag? The master branch? I can't seem to
figure out what is the difference between the master and Aquamacs24
