Wish I could do that, but it happens to me at such odd intervals, and I
don't really know what was the previous action --- there's no telling
what is the interval between action A, triggering the problem, and the
next time I happen to try to use isearch....
Also, it seems like the wrong type argument error will not trigger entry
into the debugger (perhaps there's some code wrapped around isearch that
inhibits going into the debugger?).
OK, I'll have a dive into isearch-mode and see if I can find anything.
