I do :) I do that becaude it helps me focus on the writing. And it is  
less tiring on the eye since my bg color is black.

I'm thinking that the main pb is not to leave the full screen _mode_  
but to be able to leave the emacs _screen_ altogether, to access other  
apps.

With full screen mode spotlight is not available, the dock and command 
+tab neither. So we are stuck in a weird emacs _mode_ with no way to  
get out except by quitting.
